The short version. Sprout World collects nothing. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it does not send anything anywhere. Everything your child does stays on your device.
We wrote this policy to be readable by the parents who actually use the app, rather than only by lawyers. If anything below is unclear, please ask.
Nothing. We do not collect, transmit, store on our servers, sell, share, or otherwise process any personal information about you or your child. We have no servers. There is no account to create and no sign-in.
We also do not collect the things apps often gather quietly: no device identifiers, no advertising ID, no location, no contacts, no photos, no microphone or camera access, no usage analytics, no crash reporting, and no behavioural profile.
So that your child can pick up where they left off, Sprout World saves a small amount of information on the device itself, in the app’s own private storage:
That is the whole list. On an Apple device it lives under two keys in the app’s own local storage, sprout-world and sprout-world-sound, and nowhere else.
This never leaves the device. It is not backed up to us, because there is no “us” to back it up to — we have no servers and the app makes no requests to any server. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
If you have set up more than one child on the device, each child’s information is kept separately, and removing a child in the Grown-Ups section erases theirs.
Sprout World is made for children aged roughly 3 to 6, and is listed in Apple’s Kids Category.
Because the app collects no personal information at all, there is nothing for us to disclose to a parent, nothing to correct, and nothing for us to delete on request — we never receive anything in the first place. This is a deliberate design choice, not an oversight: the simplest way to protect a child’s data is not to collect it.
The app contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no external links, and no way to contact anyone from inside it. The one adult-facing area — the Grown-Ups section, where you can adjust the challenge level and sound — sits behind a parental gate that requires pressing and holding a button for three seconds.
Sprout World includes no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking software of any kind.
The app’s voice, artwork, sounds and typeface are built into the app itself and work entirely offline. Some were produced with third-party tools before release, and those tools are credited inside the app under Grown-Ups → Credits. None of them run on your device, and none of them receive any information about your child.
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove everything stored on your device, delete the app, or remove an individual child from the Grown-Ups section.
If the app ever changes in a way that affects this policy — for example if a future version added a feature that needed the internet — we will update this page and the effective date above before that version is released.
